“I tried for months to sell my dress on the web. I got lots of inquiries (and scammers), but no buyers. I kept dropping the price, still with no luck. Then a friend told me about Le Dress Boutique, and when I entered the store, I knew my dress would sell. It is upscale and you would never know it is consignment. I just wish I hadn’t wasted so much time trying to sell it myself. THANKS!”   ~ V.F.

Consignment Criteria

Kindly REVIEW BEFORE clicking below to submit your gown for Pre-Approval...

  • All gowns must be 2 years or newer.  No Vintage, No "Classics".
  • Sorry, no David's Bridal, Alfred Angelo, or Davinci. No Knock-offs, Look-Alikes, or custom gowns.
  • Gowns are just like cars.  They have a "Style Yea"r, and they depreciate the moment they come out of the showroom where they were purchased.  The sooner you consign, the more money your gown will fetch, and the better chance it will sell.
  • We accept altered gowns in sizes 2-16.  Gown must be at least 50" long on the side seam.
  • All gowns must be professionally cleaned.  If you have not yet cleaned your gown, please submit for pre-approval, and if your gown is accepted, we can help you arrange discounted cleaning.   More info on cleaning on the FAQ page and our blog.
  • We do accept consignments from overstocked stores and from designers.  Call to discuss.
  • Consignment Period:  5 months for most gowns, 6 months for Couture gowns.
  • Your Split:  If the gowns sells for less than $2,500:  50% if gown sells in first 60 days of consignment, 45% if sold 61+ days = end of consignment. The longer it stays, the less it pays.
  • Couture Gown Split:  If gown SELLS for $2,500+, you will reeive 55% of the sales price if sold in the 1st 90 days, 50% if sold 61-180 days.
  • Payment:  You will be sent a check by the 10th of the month following the sale.  You can track the sale of your gown on our website.  It will be marked SOLD when it sells.
  • Been Trying to Sell it Yourself?  You must remove it from the web before consigning.
  • Pricing:  We will tell you what we believe the market will bear based on the newness of the dress, condition, color, and demand for the style, and alterations.  We will be honest about what we think we can get.  Should you choose NOT to consign once we present you with a realistic price, we will not take the gown at a later date.  Pricing is discussed at the consignment appointment.
  • Do we buy wedding gowns outright?  No

It is the consignor's responsibility to pick-up unsold items during the 7 day window at the end of the consignment period.  With so many consignors, we do NOT have time to remind you.
